Wellington Hospital

 What is the problem?                                                                                                                                        There isn't really a problem, its more just wanting to help the children's hospital. 

 Why are we doing this?                                                                                                                              We want to raise money to get things for the new children's hospital that is being built in         Wellington. 

What are you trying to improve, create or change?                                                                                     I'm not too sure I guess by raising money for the children's hospital we are changing the lives of children by helping the hospital supply things. I want to improve a child's life by doing this you know. 

What are we planning on doing?                                                                                                   Mrs.Lumley, gave me the great idea of an art auction/sale because we have some great artists at Otaki College I agree, and think this would be a good idea and we would also be getting some of the community together, I also have the idea that we could talk to some local businesses and maybe run a raffle or something.

What are your next steps?                                                                                                                               Talking to Mrs.Hamilton and possibly some students that would be happy to make some art, and see if we could possibly hold it in the hall.

My Maths Smarts

I know the majority of my times-tables, this helps me lots in maths. I'm open to learning new maths skills and am always a team player, I think I have patience too.
I can strategize and think out of the box and I actually enjoy doing this too.

I think I need to improve on putting more effort in to maths and perseverance. I also think I need to work on my concentration.

I will do this by, blocking almost everyone out and ignoring people, I think for the perseverance part I need to focus more on my work and put 100% effort in to my maths work.

Weekly writing challenge

This week we were challenged to do this writing task here is my writing for it:


Maria saw her homework was wet, it was glue - liquid glue! She thought she could possibly wash it off with soap and potatoes, maybe they would pick up some of the glue that didn't work that's when she had a mind explosion.

New Zealand Lock Down

I think New Zealand is doing very well with this lock down. I think we are doing well with keeping the two metre distance and although it is hard we have and will continue doing this. It's hard not being able to see family and friends but this is for the better of New Zealand and to ultimately keep us and the whole of New Zealand safe. I think that in some areas some people are not staying inside and are still going places when they don't need to and people are going to shops for items that aren't essential which isn't really helpful.  However on a whole I think New Zealand is doing quite well.

My days have consisted of taking my dogs for a walk, watching movies, watching the Prime minister's address everyday on Channel 1 and baking. I have baked raspberry and white chocolate muffins and I  made my mum's chocolate berry birthday cake yesterday.
